  • ABC Summer Schedule
This summer, the Adult Bible Communities are combined during each hour for a series of topics on current issues of concern to Christians. Each hour is the same presentation. Some of the speakers are from KBC, others are from outside the church. Each one helps us understand the issue and how we can respond to it from a Biblical perspective. Topics range from bioethics, to politics, to Oprah Winfrey's "A New Earth" webcast. Each holiday weekend we will show another part of the R.C. Sproul video on "The Holiness of God." The combined groups meet in rooms 101/102. Bill Zibell’s Class, The Lord Teach Me to Stand group, has finished up and will be joining the other combined groups for the summer in rooms 101 & 102.

  • Get Involved!
  • Don't Volunteer...Unless...
Unless you have a heart to serve... and have skills in one of the following areas:
    • Plumbing – for the occasional plumbing problems that come up at KBC.
    • Painting
    • General maintenance & repairs
    • Telephone systems & equipment

If you have any of these skills, the Facilities Ministry Team needs you! If interested, call Ben Sherwood at (262) 694-6636 or email ben@bensherwood.net.

  • Care Net Night at Culvers!
On Tuesday, August 12th, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. you will have an opportunity to enjoy blessing Care Net by eating at Culvers (10484 Corporate Dr. – Hwy 165 and I-94 by the Prime Outlets). The food is good, the fellowship is great, and Care Net will receive 10% of your order. See you there! Please print and present the Care Net coupon with your order. This will assure that Care Net receives the credit.
  • Care Net Walk for Life is coming!
Please reserve Saturday, Sept. 20, on your calendars and plan to join us for the Walk for Life in your community! This fundraiser is critical to the ongo- ing operations of our ministries and we depend on your help. You can participate as an individual or a team!
  • Fall Children's Ministries Openings
Come September, we know that we are in need of additional folks to minister to children, whether it be to preschoolers or to kids in elementary school, and whether on Sundays in Power Zone or Wednesdays in AWANA. Our biggest current need is for a director for our AWANA T&T boys group, as well as men to work with the Cubbies and with the T&T Boys on Wednesdays. Please pray that the Lord would send laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38) – in reality, God cares more for kids than we could ever care (Mark 10:13-16), and He wants their lives to be spent in service to Him (Ephesians 2:10)! If you are interested in helping out, please contact Pastor Rick.
  • globalfingerprints.org
We are still trying to reach our goal of 1500 sponsored orphans in 2008. We currently support around 400. Providing medical care for these orphans is part of the program. The GlobalFingerprints program allows children to go to school and receive medical care. Through nutrition programs, their health improves. Through the local indigenous church, children learn and experience God's love. They will feel love... and have hope. All that for $25 a month! Visit www.globalfingerprints.org for more info.
  • Shalom Center
KBC provides kitchen help to the Shalom Center on the third Tuesday of each month, preparing sack lunches and serving the evening meal to homeless people who come each night for help. Tuesday, August 19th is your next opportunity to serve. This is a great service opportunity for individuals or small groups. See the monthly sign-up sheet on the bulletin board located across the hall from Pastor Jim’s office. If you would like to contribute to the meal, you may also sign up for one or more of the listed food items. Questions? Contact Beth Nowikowski (262-694-4962).
  • An Opportunity to Get Involved
If you have a passion for hospitality and would like to see the Fellowship time between the services continue and flourish, then we need you! A point person or coordinator is needed to work with an existing, high quality team of volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Dave at the church office (262-652-4507).
  • Help KBC Library Reach Out
Become involved with KBC library this summer by donating items each month to help the children at the Root of Jesus Christian Ministries! In July, we will be collecting new socks and underwear in all children's sizes. Finally, in August we will be collecting new school supplies. Donations can be brought to the library and placed in designated box. Thank you for your generosity and support in helping the children of Kenosha!
  • Remember the Shopping Cart!
In our east foyer each Sunday you will find a shopping cart to place non-perishable food items from the Shalom Center’s “wish list”. The school lunch program provides the only meal some children may eat each day, but not during the summer. The Shalom Center helps fill that need by providing daily lunch and a dinner for more than 40 needy children. Please remember to contribute to help fill this need. Questions? Contact Beth Nowikowski at 262-694-4962.
  • Cemetery Lot For Sale
A single lot in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park (Section K, Lot 131, space 1) was recently donated to KBC by someone who now lives in California. Sunset Ridge normally charges $950 for a single lot. If you are interested, this lot can be purchased for $850. Call Ben Sherwood at 262-694-6636 if you are interested or have questions.
