To
help us serve you better, we've prepared this page to help you
understand how the nursery works. If you have any questions,
comments, or concerns, please contact the Nursery Directors, Mike
and Kelley Schutz, (262) 658-3725, or e-mail
KBCNursery@kenoshabible.org.
We are here to make your baby's time at church a happy, healthy,
and productive one.

in the nursery]
- To avoid congestion, please try to
arrive at the nursery about 10 minutes prior to the service you
are going to attend. We recommend one parent (mother or father)
bring and pick up the baby to ease access to the nursery.
- When you arrive at the nursery, you
will be asked to hand your child to a nursery worker at our
check-in counter and sign in. Note that you must include your
signature with the time in and time out. You will be receiving
a vibrating pager that will notify you if you are needed in
the nursery. A nursery worker will help you find a cubby in
which you may place your child's belongings. Please tell us
if your child has any allergies. They will be noted on his/her
nametag.
- Please bring a small diaper bag with
adequate supplies such as a bottle or juice (clear liquids
please), a pacifier (clip-on preferred), a change of clothing,
and extra diapers. Label all your child's belongings so we
can be sure to return them to you. Bottles and cups must be
labeled.
- We have snacks available for children
in the nursery-cheerios, graham crackers, and animal crackers.
If you do not want your child to have these, please let the
nursery workers know.
- For your child's health and security,
we limit access to the nursery. Only nursery workers will be
allowed in the nursery. If your baby/toddler needs you, we
will send for you through our pager system. Some children cry
for a few moments after the parent leaves. Don't worry. This
usually passes quickly as the child settles into the nursery
routine. If your child usually cries after you leave, the nursery
workers would appreciate it if you did not let your child see
you again until you are ready to pick your child up. Our church
has a place for mothers to nurse their infants. There is a
privacy curtain in the nursery.
- For the safety and comfort of all
parents and children, the nursery cannot admit babies/toddlers
with contagious illnesses. This includes fevers of 100.5 degrees
and above, discolored mucus, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious
diseases (including contagious rashes and pinkeye). Children
should be on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning
to the nursery. To prevent accidental overdoses or other problems,
nursery workers do not administer medicines.
- Try to pick up your child within 10
minutes after the service is over. For your child's security,
nursery workers need your written permission to release a child
to anyone other than you. Nursery workers will ask for identification.
- Your child will be promoted into the
2's Sunday school class and children's church on their second
birthday. You may continue to use our church nursery for the
Sunday evening service until your child reaches their third
birthday.
