Parenting. You’ve been there! You raise your kids in the church and the teachings of the Bible. They dutifully go and participate in various activities. And then one day, they begin to question….doubt…perhaps even argue about the solid pillars of the faith. They are listening to other voices. Some of those voices are subtle – they blend just enough Bible to make their position attractive. Other voices speak about other paths or ideas that may be OK….and they listen. There are also voices that shout, that mock, that foam at the mouth with blatant disregard for anything you have taught and again, they’re listening.

Your reaction is to cry “foul!” and shield your child from those voices. You argue, you weep, you worry, you pray.

As we begin another fresh series our attention turns to what historians believe is the Apostle Paul’s first letter in the New Testament – GALATIANS. His concern is the purity of the gospel. There were attempts to add to the gospel and thus water down its life transforming power. We see this kind of thing as well today. Come along as we pace ourselves through the letter hand-written by Paul himself. He is seeking to provide this collection of churches with a DECLARATION OF TRUE FREEDOM.
