Comments

"I enjoy getting to know people in similar circumstances who have had such different experiences."

" I look forward to our meetings because I feel like I'm part of a family-always accepted and welcome."

"I know others can empathize with my struggles."

"I enjoy going to the single parents group because I get to speak with other people who are in a similar place in their life as I am, without the content being 'heavy'."

"After 15 years of being divorced and raising children alone, this group gives me an opportunity to reach out to others and use my 'less than perfect' past circumstances in a positive way."

Those in our group come from all walks of life and are welcome whether they are widowed, divorced, separated, or never married. And you don’t have to be a member or regular attendee of Kenosha Bible Church to participate. Everyone is welcome.

Our Meetings
During the school year, we meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kenosha Bible Church. In the summer we have a modified schedule. Our meetings are informal and our dress is casual.

Social Gatherings
Once a month, the group meets for a strictly social time involving food, fun, fellowship and games. Occasionally throughout the year, we take trips with or without our kids to points of interest.

Kids Are Welcome
During the school year, the Awana Clubs (ages 3-6th grade) meet at the same time as our group. Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people!

In the summer, child care is provided during our meetings. Kids of all ages attend and are welcome. They are what this ministry is all about.

How Can I Get Involved?
It’s easy. Just call Jim or Rachel at 262-705-5096. Or send an e-mail to us at: singleparents@kenoshabible.org.
Or just show up at one of our meetings and get acquainted.

Mission

To provide a safe and confidential environment for the single parents of our community who seek the support and encouragement of others in similar situations.
To study God’s word and learn to apply it to our daily lives.
To encourage each other and know that we are not alone.
To know that we can call on God and each other for support.
To praise God and know that He is always with us.

Vision

To grow in God’s love as a group and individually.
To honor Him as the head of our households and live our lives as He would have us live them.
