Connecting at KBC with Unifyer

Request a Unifyer Log-in

1. Request a Unifyer Log-in

Click the link above, “Request a Unifyer Log-in.” Fill in the form and click the Request Log-in button. The church office will process your request and get back to you within a couple of working days.

2. Log-in

Login to UnifyerAfter you hear back from the church office, click on the Unifyer icon here or on our Home page. When the log-in window appears, simply enter your user name and password, and then click “Log-In.” Be patient, it might take several seconds for the application to load and install the necessary plugins for the first use.

3. Set up your profile

Click “My Profile” in the top right corner of the screen. In the Profile window, click the “Edit” button. Fill in your name and details. When you’re finished, click the “Done” button at the top of your profile. You can start a blog, view your friends, view your groups, and add media. Choose from the buttons at the top of your profile to start adding content to your own content.

4. Add News Feeds

Click the “News” button at the top of the screen. On the right side of the screen, click on the name of a news feed that you want to keep updated on and drag it to the empty space to create a “widget.” Now, you'll automatically get an e-mail every time a new article is posted in your news feeds. By clicking directly on the widget, you can access all the articles and media in that group.

5. Add Friends

Click the “Friends” button at the top of the screen. On the right side of the screen, click the name of a person you want to request as a friend, and drag it to an empty space just like you did for the widgets.

6. Join Groups

Click the “Groups” button at the top of the screen. On the right side of the screen, click the name of the Group you’re interested in, and drag it into an empty space. Now, you'll automatically get an e-mail every time new announcements are posted in your groups. In Unifyer, you can “join” as many groups as you want, just to check them out.

7. Cruise the Site

Comment on news posts and blogs, check out cool stuff and start talking with folks. For help, click the question mark in the lower left corner of the screen.

Why is KBC launching Unifyer?

Primary goals

- Provide a safe, online community to extend conversation and sharing beyond the four walls of the church.

- Provide for a centralized and standardized platform for communication within the church body.

Secondary tasks to be accomplished

- Replace all current e-mail lists and KBC E-News with News Feeds/Groups.

- Replace the majority (if not all) snail mailings from the church.

- Simplify and consolidate the communication platform interface.

- Distribute communication tasks to ministry leaders, reducing office staff responsibility.
